Mission Mumbai – A Street Walk Around CST Station & Hornimam Circle – Part 1

As I’m on my Mission Mumbai, I have started exploring places in Mumbai. It is quite interesting to know your own city in better way. This time I visited the area around CST (Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus) station and Hornimam Circle. The historical and one of the crowded stations of Mumbai.CST station is formerly known as “Victoria Terminus”. It is built in British time.

After exploring the CST station, I started to walk down to the street leading to Hornimam circle via Boza bazaar. Mostly of the footpath was occupied by the local market of clothes, bags, electronic items or jewelries. It took me around 20 minutes to reach Hornimam Circle. It is also known as Elphinstone Circle and is one of the venues for the famous Kala Ghoda festival.

After relaxing sometime in the garden; I had a look around the nearby area. I came across magnificent structures of The Asiatic Society of Bombay, St. Thomas Cathedral Church and Flora Fountain. Most of the buildings around CST & Hornimam Circle were influenced by Greek & Italic architecture.
