My Accidental Visit to Vrindavan Studio –
It was totally unusual; I was on my family trip to Daman. (My family hardly goes to any trip)
On the way to Daman, we halted at Umargao Beach which is considered as the silent beach, but this time beach was different & crowded. Most of the shore was occupied by red & blue tents, horses, chariots, people and statues.
After discussing with a few local people, we came to know; there is a shooting going on for Mahabharat serial. Without any delay, I made a quick move toward set where some of the crew members & actors were practicing their scene of Mahabharat War. The set was well decorated. The whole set was surrounded by the audience .It was a tough task for coordinators to manage public as well as shooting. After Number of trials & re-takes, finally they could manage to capture one shot (around 2 mins scene).
Later, we went to see Vrindavan studio. The Studio has different sets mainly temples, huts, huge entry gates, decorated meeting rooms (Darbars) etc. All the sets are mainly created for the shooting of olden era scenes.
After exploring studio, we again started our journey toward Daman. It took us around an hour to reach Devka Beach. I had exciting road trip and wonderful family time.
